Venus Remedies aligns with UNGC to promote ethical pharma innovation, ESG practices, and global antimicrobial resistance (AMR) solutions.

Venus Remedies, a globally recognized pharmaceutical company focused on research-driven healthcare, has officially joined the United Nations Global Compact (UNGC), aligning its operations with the UNGC’s Ten Principles covering human rights, labor, environment, and anti-corruption. This move reinforces the company’s long-term commitment to ethical innovation, environmental responsibility, and sustainable governance.

To support its sustainability goals, Venus Remedies has adopted a robust ESG strategy across its international network and has earned ISO 14064-1 certification for transparent greenhouse gas reporting. According to Ms. Aditi K. Chaudhary, President of International Business, this partnership with UNGC strengthens the company’s values of access, ethics, and scientific excellence.

As a UNGC participant, the company will submit an annual Communication on Progress (CoP), highlighting its sustainability initiatives and adherence to global ethical standards. Venus Remedies has also been a trusted supplier of WHO-approved medicines and has signed key contracts with organizations like UNICEF and PAHO to deliver critical antibiotics and oncology drugs to underserved regions.

The company is heavily invested in combating antimicrobial resistance (AMR), viewing it as both a health and environmental crisis. Its innovative formulation, VRP-034, received QIDP status from the FDA, ensuring accelerated development. Venus Remedies also supports global AMR efforts through initiatives like GASAR and the PLEA Trust, and contributes to policy development via platforms like the India AMR Innovation Hub and Vivli AMR Register.
