In a groundbreaking move, Metropolis Healthcare, a leading diagnostic service provider in India, has unveiled its Next Best Action (NBA) initiative, designed to revolutionize chronic disease management.

The program, backed by extensive data analysis involving 1,50,261 adults, seeks to empower patients by providing personalized health management recommendations.

The NBA initiative takes a proactive approach by focusing on preventive measures for chronic diseases, with a special emphasis on diabetes.

Leveraging blood parameters, the program recommends specific tests to assess various body systems, enabling early detection and intervention to prevent complications.

Patients with elevated blood glucose levels receive tailored advice for necessary tests and risk assessments.

The initiative utilizes sophisticated data analytics to identify and monitor individuals at risk of developing diabetes, stressing the importance of regular check-ups for effective glucose level management.

Metropolis Healthcare's TruHealth study revealed alarming statistics about the increasing prevalence of chronic diseases, particularly diabetes.

By 2030, it is estimated that 1 in 9 people, or 640 million individuals, will be affected by chronic conditions, underscoring the urgent need for proactive health measures.

Demographics: 39.29 percent of individuals over 60, 52.87 percent aged between 31-60.

Diabetes Prevalence: 38.89 percent, Pre-diabetes: 40.31 percent.

Age-Related Insights: Over 60, diabetics account for 53.87 percent, while pre-diabetics aged 31-45 make up 43.62 percent.

The study also revealed complications associated with chronic diseases. Kidney complications were found to affect 4.82 percent of pre-diabetics and 10 percent of diabetics. Significant risks to heart health, as indicated by lipid profiles, highlight the critical need for early detection and intervention in chronic disease management.

Surendran Chemmenkotil, CEO, Metropolis Healthcare, said, “Our NBA Initiative is a crucial step toward early detection and improved health outcomes. By leveraging data insights, we aim to empower individuals in their health management journey.
“The NBA initiative harnesses the power of diagnostic algorithms and medical expertise to provide personalized recommendations, marking a significant advancement in the field of chronic disease management.”

As Metropolis Healthcare takes the lead in integrating data-driven insights with healthcare practices, the NBA initiative stands as a beacon of hope for individuals grappling with chronic diseases, offering a proactive and personalized approach to health management.
