Tragedy struck in Bengaluru as 18-year-old Tharun Balachandra, hailing from Dakshina Kannada district, lost his life in a devastating fall at a construction site. Despite undergoing surgery, he tragically succumbed to irreversible brain death at Gleneagles Hospital, Kengeri.
In a poignant display of generosity and compassion amidst grief, Tharun's grieving parents, Balachandra and Latha, chose to honor their son's legacy by donating his organs. This selfless act extended a new chance at life to five individuals in dire need. Tharun's kidneys, liver, heart, and eyes were successfully transplanted, offering hope and a second lease of life to those battling critical health conditions.

Tharun, a dedicated individual, worked as an attender at a local restaurant and also lent a helping hand at the construction site. The tragic incident occurred as he descended an unfinished staircase from the second floor, resulting in the life-altering fall. He is survived by his grieving parents and a younger sister, leaving behind cherished memories and a legacy of compassion.
