The partnership entails the establishment of a new research and development center at Tata Elxsi's Pune facility, dedicated to the development of critical care medical devices for global markets.
The newly inaugurated center will leverage the combined expertise of both companies to design and develop innovative devices tailored for operating rooms worldwide. From conceptualization to testing, the center will oversee all stages of product development, equipped with state-of-the-art testing capabilities to meet stringent operating room standards.
The collaboration between Tata Elxsi and Dräger aims to deliver cost-effective, high-quality medical devices while bolstering India's research and development capabilities on a global scale. This initiative marks Dräger's second R&D center in India, reflecting the company's commitment to expanding its footprint in the country.
Shalin Patel, Managing Director of Dräger India Group, expressed optimism about the collaboration, stating that it "sets new standards in critical care equipment" and will ultimately benefit patients worldwide.
