Sova Health Secures $1 Million to Revolutionize Gut Health in India
Sova Health, a leading Indian gut health company, raises $1 million to expand testing, develop probiotics, and launch a DTx program.

Sova Health, a company dedicated to comprehensive gut health solutions, announced the successful completion of their initial funding round. This round secured them $1 million in capital. The investment came from a collaborative effort involving global venture capital firms like Antler and Accelerating Asia, along with Practical VC from the US and Indian participants VC Grid and Venture Catalysts.

Sova Health highlighted their impressive growth trajectory over the past year. According to the company, their revenue has increased tenfold, solidifying their position as a leader in at-home gut microbiome testing within India. They've also achieved success with the launch of a line of proprietary probiotic supplements, selling close to 100,000 units.

Max Kushnir, Sova Health's co-founder and chief science officer, elaborated on the technical side of their operations. He mentioned, "We have built a one-of-a-kind database of the Indian microbiome, drawing from information collected through thousands of in-house gut microbiome tests. This data is instrumental in developing probiotics specifically designed for the Indian gut."

The funds raised will be used to further develop Sova Health's product offerings and launch a clinical trial for their digital therapeutic program (DTx). This strategic move reinforces their goal of establishing themselves as a prominent player in the Indian gut health industry.
