Sidekick Health expands its digital care management portfolio by acquiring aidhere, a prescription digital therapeutic for obesity management, while Oula partners with Mount Sinai Health System and plans to extend its maternal health services to California and New Jersey.

Sidekick Health, a digital care management platform, has acquired Hamburg-based aidhere, a prescription digital therapeutic for obesity management. The platform specializes in creating tailored digital therapeutics for chronic health conditions like diabetes, ulcerative colitis, and smoking cessation, synchronizing interventions within a comprehensive solution.

"With this step, the aidhere team and products form our third business unit for prescribed solutions, allowing us to offer a comprehensive range of solutions for pharma partners, health insurers and now prescribers on both sides of the Atlantic," Tryggvi Thorgeirsson, cofounder and CEO of Sidekick Health, said during the announcement at HLTH 2023.

Oula, a maternal health company, has announced a partnership with Mount Sinai Health System, integrating its two physical clinics in Brooklyn Heights and New York into the Mount Sinai network. Additionally, Oula plans to open a third clinic in Manhattan.

In addition to its physical clinic services, Oula provides a virtual platform for coaching and monitoring from preconception to postpartum. Furthermore, the company provides an easy-to-use app to assist patients in managing their maternal care plan, communicating with their care providers, and scheduling appointments.

Adrianne Nickerson, the CEO of Oula, has announced the company's intentions to extend its operations to California and New Jersey in the upcoming years.
