RED.Health secures ₹166.30 crores in Series B funding, propelling innovation in emergency medical response across India with advanced technological solutions and expanded service reach.
RED.Health, India's leading emergency medical response system platform provider, has successfully raised ₹166.30 crores ($20 million) in its Series B round of venture capital funding. This latest investment round was spearheaded by Jungle Ventures, with significant participation from HealthQuad, HealthX, and Alteria Capital.
The infusion of fresh capital is set to drive RED.Health’s innovation pipeline, focusing on the development of advanced technological solutions for the emergency response value chain. Among the key innovations are an auto-dispatch system designed to minimize human errors and optimize response times. The company’s AI-powered triage system facilitates the selection of the appropriate hospital and the immediate sharing of vital information with first responders.
RED.Health, which claims to be able to dispatch ambulances within eight minutes, plans to deploy its cutting-edge technology across hospitals and employers throughout India. A portion of the newly acquired funds will be used to expand the company's reach from 16 to over 40 cities and to establish partnerships with more than 500 hospitals.
In addition to expanding its geographic footprint, RED.Health aims to introduce new product lines, including a subscription-based model that offers speedy medical assistance and eliminates pricing complexities. Founded in 2016, the company provides comprehensive emergency medical response and transportation services, including both air and road ambulances. Its fleet includes 450 ambulances, 6,000 Saathi road ambulances, and 10 aircraft for air ambulance services.
Prabhdeep Singh, Founder and CEO of RED.Health, expressed his enthusiasm for the new funding and the company’s future plans: “We welcome Jungle Ventures to our group of investors and extend our gratitude to Alteria Capital, HealthQuad, and HealthX for their continued support. Since our last fundraise, we have made significant strides in technology development and refined our dispatch system to ensure seamless, speedy, and error-free operations. This VC funding round will help us expand and become the only integrated medical emergency response platform in India.”
Seemant Jauhari, Partner – Healthcare at Jungle Ventures, stated, “We are excited to partner with RED.Health to build the most reliable emergency platform and ecosystem in India. This ensures that our families will get access to standardized, reliable, and efficient emergency care. We believe RED.Health’s vision is to expand services to more than 40 cities in India, leveraging technology to enable the nearest ambulance to transport a patient safely to a hospital of one’s choice. In the long term, every Indian should get access to emergency response with a click of a button.”
Dr. Pinak Shrikhande, Managing Director of HealthQuad, highlighted the company’s growth and future potential: “Having been involved with RED.Health for some time now, we have witnessed the company’s evolution into a category leader in emergency care solutions leveraging tech innovations.
