ReadyToBeMom.com partners with FOGSI to create a one-stop platform for pregnancy education. This initiative offers expert-led resources like Q&A sessions and doctor podcasts to address a wide range of concerns expecting mothers face.
ReadyToBeMom.com, in collaboration with the FOGSI Young Talent Promotion Committee, has unveiled a comprehensive multimedia platform dedicated to pregnancy education, aimed at supporting expectant mothers on their journey to motherhood. This initiative is designed to address a wide range of pregnancy-related concerns through expert-vetted Q&A sessions, providing valuable information and guidance to women during this transformative phase of their lives.
Partnering with the FOGSI Young Talent Promotion Committee, the platform launches with a series of Doctors Podcast Live streams on social media platforms and Big FM, commencing with a discussion on the Importance of Pre-Pregnancy check-up. These monthly doctor podcasts, available in multiple languages, seek to enhance accessibility and engagement among diverse audiences.
Dr. Rohan Palshetkar, a renowned Obstetrician & Gynaecologist based in Mumbai, and Chairperson of the FOGSI Young Talent Promotion Committee, emphasized the significance of pre-pregnancy check-ups in light of global infertility rates, which have seen a notable increase from 10 percent to 17 percent, as reported by the World Health Organization (WHO). He highlighted factors such as age, delayed childbearing, postponed marriage, and career focus, all of which can significantly impact fertility. Pre-pregnancy check-ups play a crucial role in identifying and addressing potential risks before conception, thereby optimizing the chances of a successful pregnancy.
Dr. Tanushree Pandey Padgaonkar, from Samadhan Hospital and Hope IVF Centre in Mumbai, underscored the importance of addressing men's concerns regarding fertility and reproductive health. She noted that men often hesitate to seek medical advice for ejaculation concerns due to fears surrounding masculinity, and emphasized the need for increased prenatal counseling in society, where discussions about reproductive issues remain largely taboo.
Dr. Apoorva Pallam Reddy, a prominent Gynecologist from Bengaluru, highlighted the challenges faced by couples attempting to conceive naturally, despite optimal conditions, with a 5 to 10 percent chance of pregnancy. Stressing the importance of preconception counseling, Dr. Reddy emphasized its role in assessing overall health, preempting potential risks, conducting necessary tests, reducing stress levels, and providing accurate information to improve the likelihood of a successful pregnancy.
The launch of this pregnancy education platform signifies a concerted effort to empower expectant mothers with knowledge and resources essential for a healthy and informed pregnancy journey. Through expert insights and accessible content, ReadyToBeMom.com and the FOGSI Young Talent Promotion Committee aim to support and guide women through this significant phase of their lives, promoting maternal and child health across communities.
