Dr. Rohan Palshetkar, a renowned Obstetrician & Gynaecologist based in Mumbai, and Chairperson of the FOGSI Young Talent Promotion Committee, emphasized the significance of pre-pregnancy check-ups in light of global infertility rates, which have seen a notable increase from 10 percent to 17 percent, as reported by the World Health Organization (WHO). He highlighted factors such as age, delayed childbearing, postponed marriage, and career focus, all of which can significantly impact fertility.
