In a significant step towards advancing Ayurveda and cancer treatment, Uttarakhand Ayurveda University, under the Ministry of AYUSH (Government of Uttarakhand), has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Pune-based Rasayu Cancer Clinic.
The collaboration aims to empower government doctors in AYUSH in Uttarakhand with specialized training in Ayurveda and cancer treatment.
To inaugurate this partnership, a four-day workshop was conducted by Ayurveda practitioners at Rasayu Cancer Clinic Pune. Dr. Yogesh Bendale, Dr. Avinash Kadam, and Dr. Priyanka Shirole participated in the workshop, focusing on introducing the principles of Ayurveda, actual patient therapy, research, and published papers based on research findings.
Dr. Pankaj Pandey emphasized the importance of coordination between Ayurveda and modern medical methods for the benefit of patients, advocating mutual cooperation over conflict between different systems of medicine. Dr. Yogesh Bendale highlighted Ayurveda's potential to provide safe and effective treatment to cancer patients, particularly those diagnosed at advanced stages, improving overall outcomes and quality of life.
Rasayu Cancer Clinic, renowned for evidence-based Ayurveda and cancer therapy, brings over 25 years of experience in treating cancer patients through Ayurveda. Utilizing chemotherapy-based treatment systems, Rasayu Cancer Clinic has developed effective therapies for patients at different stages of cancer. Their expertise extends globally, with a specialized oncology software based on artificial intelligence and machine learning facilitating remote monitoring of patients' conditions and aiding in skill development for attending doctors.
As part of this initiative, experienced doctors from Rasayu Cancer Clinic shared their knowledge with government Ayurveda doctors in Uttarakhand, culminating in the signing of an MoU between Rasayu Cancer Clinic and Uttarakhand Ayurveda University. This collaboration aims to further therapeutic, educational, and research endeavors in Ayurveda oncology, paving the way for enhanced cancer treatment practices and advancements in the field of Ayurveda.
