At SPARSH Hospital, a tragic accident led to the selfless act of organ donation by Rangaswami's family. His liver, kidneys, heart, lungs, skin, and corneas were donated to those in need, with various hospitals facilitating the life-saving transplants.
At SPARSH Hospital, a 35-year-old patient named Rangaswami's family generously donated his organs, including liver, kidneys, lungs, heart, skin, and corneas, to those in need, demonstrating a selfless act of compassion.
A liver transplant was performed at SPARSH Rajarajeshwari Nagar, kidneys were donated to NU and Bhagawan Mahaveer Jain Hospitals, Aster CMI Hospital received a heart, Victoria Hospital received skin, and Narayana Nethralaya received corneas, all facilitated by Jeevasarthakathe.
Rangaswami, an artist, suffered a severe head injury in a two-wheeler accident near Jambu Savari Dinne. He was admitted to the nearest hospital and transferred to SPARSH Hospital. Tragically, he was declared brain dead on October 9, prompting his family to donate organs to save multiple lives.
Joseph Pasangha, Group Chief Operating Officer of SPARSH Hospital, lauded the family’s kindness, emphasizing the transformative power of organ donation in the face of loss. He said, “Their selfless spirit gives us hope to treat those facing critical health challenges.”
Rangaswami is survived by his wife and an eight-year-old child, leaving a lasting legacy of life-saving generosity.
