PM Modi Inaugurates Namo Hospital: A Major Leap in Healthcare Advancement

PM Modi inaugurated Namo Hospital in Silvassa, a Rs. 460 crore facility enhancing healthcare access. The event also showcased Misso, India’s first AI-powered robotic system for knee surgeries.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the first phase of Namo Hospital, a 450-bed medical facility in Silvassa, Dadra, and Nagar Haveli. Built at a cost of Rs. 460 crore, this state-of-the-art hospital aims to enhance healthcare accessibility with cutting-edge medical services. In addition to this, PM Modi launched public welfare projects worth over Rs. 2,500 crore, including new hospitals, schools, and critical infrastructure initiatives.
During his visit, the Prime Minister reviewed a 3D model of the hospital and praised its advanced medical facilities. A key highlight of the event was the demonstration of Misso, India’s first AI-powered robotic system for knee replacement surgery, presented by Meril’s CEO, Vivek Shah. Shah emphasized that Misso represents a significant step in India’s self-reliance in medical technology, improving surgical precision and patient recovery.
This breakthrough innovation is set to revolutionize orthopedic surgeries in India by offering enhanced accuracy and better clinical outcomes. PM Modi acknowledged the importance of indigenous medical advancements in making high-quality healthcare more accessible.
