Pfizer, in collaboration with the National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education & Research (NIPER) in Ahmedabad, the Department of Pharmaceuticals (DoP), NITI Aayog, and Social Alpha, has announced six innovative healthcare startups as winners of the NIPER-A edition of its INDovation program. This initiative aims to support early-stage healthcare innovations in India, providing funding and resources to help promising solutions reach the market.

Launched in February 2024, this program drew over 200 applications from startups nationwide, all focused on improving healthcare through timely screening and cost-effective diagnostics. The selection criteria included evaluating each startup’s potential impact, technological innovation, unique value proposition, competitive edge, financial and operational scalability, and clarity on future development plans.

Each of the six selected startups will receive a grant of ₹ 25 lakhs from Pfizer, alongside extensive incubation support from NIPER-Ahmedabad to accelerate their journey from lab to market.

The winning startups are Aarca Research, Babycue Pvt Ltd, Biolockey Healthworks Pvt Ltd, Brela Innovations Pvt Ltd, RNT Health Insights Pvt Ltd, and Utopic Tech Pvt Ltd.

“Our goal is to empower healthcare innovators to bring impactful solutions to life, making healthcare more accessible and affordable,” said a Pfizer spokesperson. This initiative highlights Pfizer’s commitment to fostering healthcare innovation in India and supporting visionary entrepreneurs.
