NABH, NATHEALTH Enhance Patient Safety

NABH (National Accreditation Board for Hospitals and Healthcare Providers) and NATHEALTH (Healthcare Federation of India) join forces to elevate patient safety across India's healthcare landscape.

NABH and NATHEALTH collaboratively enhance patient safety standards, ensuring top-notch healthcare quality. 

On World Patient Safety Day, NATHEALTH signed an MoU with the National Accreditation Board for Hospitals and Healthcare Providers (NABH), a constituent Board of the Quality Council of India, an autonomous body under the Ministry of Commerce and Industry's Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT).

This collaboration aims to improve patient safety, healthcare quality, and bring about positive changes in the healthcare ecosystem.

NABH and NATHEALTH will collaborate on various initiatives, including:

1. Enhancing patient safety and healthcare quality through joint efforts.

2. Developing a patient safety white paper and awareness module, sharing best practices, and conducting expert sessions for healthcare caregivers.

3. Creating case studies, expert testimonials, and awareness campaigns focused on patient safety.

4. Advocating for policies supporting patient-centric care.

5. Establishing an annual patient experience award to recognize outstanding patient safety practices in both public and private sectors.

NATHEALTH launched the 'Choose Safer Healthcare' public campaign to educate consumers about healthcare safety. To facilitate knowledge sharing in the healthcare industry, they have launched a user-friendly website with multilingual resources, including videos and a knowledge repository.
