In a significant stride towards recognizing and elevating the stature of nursing education, the Maharashtra University of Health Sciences (MUHS) has inaugurated an independent Faculty of Nursing.
This milestone underscores the indispensable role nurses play in healthcare and marks a pivotal moment in shaping the academic landscape of Maharashtra. Dr Sreelekha Rajesh, an esteemed figure in nursing education, has been appointed as the inaugural Dean of the faculty.
With over 25 years of rich experience in the field, Dr Rajesh brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to her new role. She has been instrumental in spearheading innovative nursing programs and fostering academic excellence during her tenure as Professor cum Vice Principal at GMF Tehmi Grant Institute of Nursing Education (Ruby Hall Clinic, Pune).
Expressing her enthusiasm and sense of responsibility, Dr Rajesh commented, “It is indeed a privilege to serve as the first Dean of the Nursing Faculty at MUHS.
