MedLern applauds NABH's pioneering Digital Health Standards, transforming healthcare with comprehensive guidelines, training, and accreditation levels.

The recent launch of the National Accreditation Board for Hospitals and Healthcare Providers (NABH) first edition of Digital Health Standards has garnered applause from MedLern, underscoring its significance in reshaping the healthcare landscape towards a digitally-enabled future. This release aligns with the evolving paradigm of healthcare administration and delivery, spotlighting the critical role of digital health-focused accreditation programs and certifications.

Accreditation, a linchpin for transparency and quality healthcare, has now extended its purview into the digital realm, reflecting the indispensable fusion of technology and medicine. NABH's groundbreaking release of these standards on September 17, 2023, responds aptly to the burgeoning adoption of digital solutions in the healthcare domain.

As a pivotal phase in digital health progression, NABH has embarked on crafting Digital Health Standards and guidelines tailored for Electronic Medical Records (EMR) and Hospital Information System (HIS) vendors. Furthermore, NABH is set to develop fundamental training content to fortify the country's digital health infrastructure.

Dr. Atul Mohan Kochhar, CEO of NABH, highlighted the global best practices underpinning the first edition of Digital Health Standards, emphasizing its alignment with sector trends and innovations. Dr. Kochhar emphasized the imperative role of comprehensive learning platforms in tandem with med-tech players like MedLern, citing their instrumental role in driving digital disruption within the healthcare sector.

Deepak Sharma, CEO and Co-Founder of MedLern, emphasized the catalytic impact of NABH's Digital Health Standards on hospital leadership's digital mindset. These standards, Sharma noted, facilitate swift adoption of ABDM standards, promising improved care outcomes, enhanced hospital productivity, and the creation of invaluable data reservoirs for public health research and core clinical domains.

The inaugural edition of NABH's Digital Health Standards encompasses eight comprehensive standards, housing 180 objective elements, fostering a robust foundation for hospitals' digitization journey. Notably, these standards introduce three accreditation maturity levels – silver, gold, and platinum – enabling hospitals to track and showcase their progress over time.

MedLern, renowned for its comprehensive hospital department content aiding NABH standards comprehension, offers extensive reporting and risk management tools. These resources are pivotal in aligning skills with strategy and providing real-time workforce readiness insights for hospital leaders, empowering them to navigate compliance with the new standards and leverage ABDM-related investments effectively.

The introduction of NABH's Digital Health Standards stands as a watershed moment, poised to revolutionize healthcare administration, bolstering digital infrastructure, and nurturing a culture of continuous improvement and quality care within India's healthcare ecosystem.
