Just two months after undergoing extensive surgery and treatment, she has bravely returned to a normal life and is gearing up for her postgraduate studies.

Dr. Harshita's journey began when she was diagnosed with tongue cancer, despite lacking common risk factors associated with the disease. Undeterred by the daunting diagnosis, she underwent a wide-glossectomy with microvascular reconstruction at HCG Manavata Cancer Centre, under the expert care of Dr. Raj Nagarkar, Managing Director & Chief of Surgical Oncology & Robotic Services at HCGMCC.

Dr. Nagarkar expressed satisfaction with the success of the surgery, noting that they were able to preserve Dr. Harshita's ability to speak and eat. The comprehensive treatment plan also included radiation and chemotherapy, aimed at eradicating any remaining traces of the disease.
