Maverick Simulation Solutions boosts healthcare education with a ₹50 Cr R&D push, introducing AI, AR, and VR to enhance clinical training tools.

Maverick Simulation Solutions has committed over ₹50 crore towards research and development to enhance its medical and nursing training technologies. This strategic investment will focus on upgrading simulators like CPR trainers, task trainers, and high-end clinical models. The company plans to integrate artificial intelligence (AI), augmented reality (AR), and virtual reality (VR) into its training products to provide a more immersive and realistic learning experience.
The R&D activities will be entirely based in India, strengthening in-house capabilities in engineering, clinical integration, and content development. Testing will be conducted in collaboration with academic institutions. Originally a 3D scanning and printing startup, Maverick shifted to medical simulation in 2019 and began manufacturing simulators locally in 2021.
Their product portfolio includes training tools for procedures like injection, breast exams, airway management, vascular access, and catheterisation, along with advanced platforms such as LuSi and Test Chest. These tools are already being used by prestigious institutions like AIIMS, DRDO, and IITs.
Founder and CEO Anuj Chahal emphasized the company's mission to make healthcare education more practical and accessible, targeting expansion to over 250 institutions and aiming for ₹300 crore in revenue by 2025.
Director Dr. Sunil Tomar highlighted the critical role of simulation in building student confidence and competence before handling real patients. Maverick also plans to expand into rural and semi-urban markets, promoting skill-based learning through affordable, locally made simulators aligned with clinical training needs.
