Karnataka's healthcare revolution: Explore the innovative Health ATM Project, a pioneering initiative set to transform healthcare access and services in the region.

Karnataka's first 'health ATM' was unveiled in Kalaburagi by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah as part of the 'Arokya Mitra' scheme. As part of their CSR initiative, HP Enterprises donated 25 health ATM machines.

These advanced-technology automated ATMs provide preventive healthcare services. They screen people for 50 health parameters and provide a user-friendly experience. Users can get blood pressure readings by stepping on the machine scale and placing their palm on the designated area.

Describing the concept, HP Enterprises stated,

"The Health ATM is a touch screen kiosk designed to manage health-related information and allows individuals to access their personal health information at any time through any internet-connected web browser."

These ATMs offer comprehensive screenings, measuring height, weight, body temperature, blood glucose, blood pressure, invasive and non-invasive blood tests, heart check-ups, and oxygen saturation levels. Users receive an instant health report in just fifteen minutes, according to the TOI report.

HP Enterprises installed 50 similar health kiosks earlier this year at popular tourist destinations along the Char Dham route in Himachal Pradesh, including Yamunotri, Gangotri, Badrinath, and Kedarnath. Impressed by its success, the state government intends to replicate it by installing similar health ATMs in major cities throughout Karnataka.
