Wadi Surgicals launches Enliva, India’s first accelerator-free nitrile gloves, offering skin-safe, high-performance protection for diverse industries.

Wadi Surgicals has unveiled India’s first accelerator-free nitrile gloves under its flagship brand, Enliva, marking a major advancement in dermatologically safe, high-performance hand protection. Developed through extensive research and international collaboration, these gloves eliminate common chemical accelerators like thiurams, carbamates, and MBTs—compounds often linked to Type IV hypersensitivity and allergic contact dermatitis.
Engineered with alternative non-sensitising crosslinking agents, the gloves have undergone stringent testing to ensure skin safety, chemical resistance, and mechanical durability. The innovation aims to protect frequent glove users—particularly in healthcare, biotech, food processing, and electronics—without compromising performance.
Anindith Reddy, Managing Director of Wadi Surgicals, highlighted the product’s accessibility and impact, noting that Enliva now brings world-class, skin-friendly nitrile gloves to the Indian market, breaking barriers of affordability and availability. Certified under international safety and quality standards like EN 455, EN ISO 374, ISO 13485:2016, and REACH, the gloves are poised for global adoption.
Vice President Selvam Subramaniam credited the achievement to advanced material science and collaboration with global polymer experts, emphasizing that Enliva matches or exceeds global benchmarks.
With plans for sector-specific variants, white-label, and OEM options, Enliva joins the ranks of top-tier global brands like Ansell’s DermaShield and Hartalega’s NGX, solidifying India’s position in the global medical disposables market.
