Health Minister Mandaviya lauds organ donors' efforts in boosting organ donations. 

Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya announced initiatives to increase organ donations in India during the 13th Indian Organ Donation Day (IODD) ceremony. The ceremony honored donor families, raised awareness on deceased organ donation, and recognized medical professionals' contributions in organ donation and transplantation through awards. Mandaviya emphasized the importance of giving life to others as a service to humanity.

Health Minister Mandaviya Applauds Organ Donors

Mandaviya emphasized the significance of recognizing and appreciating the contributions of all individuals involved in organ donation. He noted that in 2013, 5,000 donors contributed to organs, but now over 15,000 annually. He urged others to raise awareness about organ donation.

Mandaviya launched the eCARe portal, a portal for e-clearance of afterlife remains, to expedite human remains transport to India. He also unveiled an e-newsletter for the National Organ and Tissue Transplant Organization (NOTTO). The event was attended by Union Ministers of State for Health Ministry, Bharati Pravin Pawar and S.P. Singh Baghel, and Tamil Nadu Health Minister Ma Subramanian.
