Lastly, an impressive 94.7% of arrivals from Iraq specifically came for medical purposes. These statistics underscore India's prominence as a preferred destination for medical tourism from various countries in the region.

According to the ministry's report, the number of medical tourists visiting India has been increasing at a rate of 22-25% per year. This growth can be attributed to various factors, including the affordability of treatment, quality of medical facilities, availability of skilled doctors and surgeons, and the opportunities for tourism.
