At HCMCT Manipal Hospital, we hold a profound respect for the extraordinary generosity of organ donors.
HCMCT Manipal Hospital, Dwarka, celebrated Organ Donation Day, honoring donors’ families.
By honoring donors' families through the "Tree of Life" project, HCMCT Manipal Hospital, Dwarka, observed National Organ Donation Day. This campaign, which was a part of #TheMostNobleAct, honored body, organ, and eye donors. Four families came together to encourage organ donation pledges as part of their selfless efforts to save lives.
Custom Indian Postal Service stamps bearing the names and images of donors were given to families. Dilip Jose, the CEO of Manipal Hospital, dedicated donors by unveiling the "Tree of Life" at the occasion. The occasion demonstrated the generosity of donors in the face of loss, inspiring others to give.
India grapples with a severe donor shortage, leaving 200,000 patients awaiting transplants, says NOTTO. MOST, spanning 27 Manipal Hospitals since 2022, strives to fill the gap via #TheMostNobleAct. Renowned experts Dr Marti Manyalich and Dr (Col) Avnish Seth stress donation’s urgency and merits.
Dr. Marti Manyalich emphasized organ transplants’ life-changing impact, notably Donation after Circulatory Determination of Death (DCDD). Dr. (Col.) Avnish Seth received recognition for 20 years of National Organ Transplant Program dedication. Hospital Director Dr. Viji Varghese urged Indians to support this noble cause for a brighter tomorrow.
