Government Initiated Chemotherapy at 30 ESIC Hospitals

The government has taken a significant step in healthcare by initiating chemotherapy services at 30 ESIC (Employees' State Insurance Corporation) hospitals, expanding access to critical cancer treatment for patients across the country.
According to an official announcement, the government has implemented in-house chemotherapy services at 30 ESIC hospitals around the country.
Bhupender Yadav, Union Minister for Labour and Employment, launched these services at the 191st ESI Corporation meeting, held at ESIC headquarters in New Delhi.
According to the Ministry of Labour and Employment, the goal of this project is to increase cancer treatment accessibility for insured employees and their families.
The minister dedicated an ESIC control room with dashboards for better resource management, hospital beds, and ongoing building projects.
During the meeting, the minister also approved 15 new ESIC hospitals, 78 ESIC clinics, and bed capacity increases at ESIC hospitals in Beltola, Assam, K. K. Nagar, Chennai, Tamil Nadu, and Faridabad, Haryana.
