Superfoods Valley raises ₹7 crore for Good Monk to combat hidden hunger.

Superfoods Valley, a Bengaluru-based nutrition startup, has successfully raised ₹7 crore in a pre-Series A funding round to expand its flagship brand, Good Monk. The funding round was spearheaded by existing investor Multiply Ventures, with new investments from Sharrp Ventures and Thinkuvate. This capital infusion will enable Good Monk to scale its product offerings and broaden its reach across India.

Good Monk is dedicated to addressing hidden hunger, a prevalent issue caused by micronutrient deficiencies. The brand offers a range of healthy and tasty nutrition mixes that fortify everyday food with essential micronutrients without altering the taste, color, or smell. The company’s clinically tested Good Monk Family Nutrition Mix boasts a 95 percent success rate in enhancing energy, immunity, and gut health with consistent use over 120 days.

The new investment will be pivotal in scaling up Good Monk's product lineup and expanding its customer base across the country. The company aims to leverage this funding to fortify more Indian diets and tackle the widespread issue of hidden hunger effectively.

“We are thrilled to have our investors’ continued support,” said Amarpreet S Anand, founder of Superfoods Valley. “Good Monk has the potential to significantly improve the health of Indians by providing an easy and convenient way to fortify their daily diet.”

The participation of Multiply Ventures, along with the addition of Sharrp Ventures and Thinkuvate, reflects strong investor confidence in Good Monk’s mission and business model. The funding round highlights the growing interest in nutrition and health startups in India, particularly those addressing critical issues like micronutrient deficiencies.

With this substantial financial boost, Good Monk is poised to make a significant impact on the nutritional health landscape of India. By offering innovative solutions to fortify everyday foods, Good Monk continues to advance its mission of combating hidden hunger and improving the overall well-being of Indian consumers.
