Glocal Hospital Begusarai, Bihar, was recently recognized by the Bihar government for its outstanding performance under the Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (AB PM-JAY). The hospital, which is ranked third in the state, was chosen as the sole representative from Begusarai. During a ceremony in Patna, Pratyay Amrit, Additional Chief Secretary - Health, presented the award to Kanhaiya Kumar, Hospital Head at Glocal Hospital Begusarai. Previously, Begusarai's Civil Surgeon had recognized the hospital as the best in the district for its significant contribution to Ayushman Bharat.

Glocal Hospital in Begusarai, a hub for PSUs like Indian Oil, Bharat Petroleum, Hindustan Petroleum, Oil India, Railways, NTPC, and Fertilizer, offers services under Ayushman Bharat PM-JAY at a lower cost than metropolitan hospitals. The central government scheme provides annual health insurance covering hospitalization expenses for over 12 crore families under AB PM-JAY.

Commenting on this recognition, Kanhaiya Kumar said,
