Discover how GenWorks' collaboration with the Andhra Pradesh Government is shaping innovative solutions and advancements in healthcare.

Andhra Pradesh's government, led by CM YS Jagan Reddy, is at the forefront of addressing cancer, particularly in women's wellness. Vidadala Rajini, Minister of Health, drives healthcare advancement through technology integration and collaboration. The initiative focuses on fortified primary care via innovative, tech-driven engagement, combining CSR efforts and NGO partnerships. In Anakapalli, the Health Minister launched this transformative project with Genworks.

In July 2022, two FDA/CE-approved, AI-powered, cloud-connected portable devices—EVA Pro (Digital Colposcope) and Breaster (Thermal Imaging for Breast Screening)—were introduced in two recommended healthcare facilities. This illustrates Andhra Pradesh's commitment to cutting-edge healthcare solutions and its proactive fight against preventable cancers, aligning with the vision of Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy Garu.

In a brief span, the program partnered with APSACS to broaden its impact, ensuring comprehensive healthcare for vulnerable groups like HIV+ patients and sex workers.

Anakapalli, Rajahmahendravaram, Aganampudi, Peddaapuram, Madanapalle, and Parvathipuram are among the districts where the project has been effective. The project has screened over 3000 people, with a focus on HIV+ patients and sex workers.

Outcomes encompassed identifying and referring 383 suspected cases for confirmatory tests, detecting 51 pre-cancerous conditions, and identifying 29 malignancies for swift advanced care. Rotary Foundation (India) and Aseem Infrastructure Finance Ltd. Supported the initiative, reinforcing its success.

Rajini said,

“Our creation of this unique model of care holds the potential to be a blueprint for every state government to follow. Our heartfelt gratitude goes to APSACS, and the unwavering direction and guidance provided by the Department of Health, Medical, and Family Welfare. Furthermore, we sincerely thank Aseem Infrastructure Finance Ltd. (a NIIFL investee company), Care India, and Rotary for their invaluable support and guidance.”
