ENTOD Pharmaceuticals, in partnership with the Rotary Club of Bombay Seacoast, has extended a lifeline to the community of Machhal village in Kupwara district, Jammu and Kashmir (J&K), by presenting them with a much-needed ambulance.

Situated just 4 kilometers from the Line of Control (LOC), Machhal village has grappled with formidable healthcare challenges due to its remote location, leaving residents with limited access to medical facilities. The absence of adequate healthcare infrastructure has compelled villagers to undertake arduous journeys spanning over 130 kilometers to Kupwara and Srinagar for urgent medical attention, navigating through hazardous terrain.

The symbolic handover of the donated ambulance took place at the Sahi Memorial Hospital, with the Sarpanch of Machhal village graciously accepting the contribution in the presence of representatives from the armed forces. Kishore Masurkar, Chairman of ENTOD Pharmaceuticals, underscored the significance of corporate social responsibility, emphasizing, "By donating this ambulance, we are extending a lifeline and offering vital medical assistance to those in need, in line with our commitment to community welfare and societal responsibility."

CEO Nikkhil K Masurkar elaborated on the transformative impact of the initiative, stating, "Access to timely healthcare is a fundamental right. This ambulance will serve as a vital link, ensuring equitable access to quality healthcare services for every individual, irrespective of their geographic location."

The provision of the ambulance will enable swift transfers to city hospitals during medical emergencies, significantly bolstering healthcare accessibility and addressing the longstanding medical needs of Machhal village residents.
