The Chest Management & Training Institute (CREST) organized TUSCON, a national conference focused on diagnosing and managing cough-related issues. India's inaugural symposium on cough management took place in Goa, involving experts in discussions and debates on various aspects of cough and potential remedies.
Dr Sundeep Salvi, Chairman and Director, CREST said -
“The TUSCON cough management conference is a landmark event, which aims to address the major issue of cough associated with different airways and lung conditions.”
TUSCON, a one-day scientific event, aimed to address cough management with 24 pulmonologists and chest physicians. Topics covered included new cough pharmacotherapy developments, neuroinflammatory processes, and supportive therapy beyond pharmacotherapy.
The program discussed cough diagnostics, exploring acoustics and AI applications in respiratory medicine. It concluded with a systematic algorithm for diagnosing and managing cough, aiding healthcare practitioners in daily clinical practice.
