Borivali Chemotherapy Day Care Clinic and Pathology Laboratory Celebrates First Anniversary

The Nana Palkar Smruti Samiti's Borivali Chemotherapy Day Care Clinic and Pathology Laboratory recently marked its first anniversary with a heartwarming celebration.
The Nana Palkar Smruti Samiti's Borivali Chemotherapy Day Care Clinic and Pathology Laboratory recently celebrated its first anniversary. The event was attended by doctors, nurses, staff, treated patients, leading oncologists, physicians, eminent personalities, as well as officials and members of Nana Palkar Smruti Samiti.
The introductory remarks were delivered by Dr. Paresh Navalkar, Working President of the Nana Palkar Smruti Samiti. He explained that the Tata Memorial Center and Sunrise Oncology Center oversee the 16-bed modern Chemotherapy Center. Over the past year, the center has provided nearly 1,500 patients with over 3,000 chemotherapy treatments, and the laboratory has performed over 25,000 blood tests at low cost. He also mentioned ongoing efforts to reach a broader audience.
The chief guests, including Vivek Mangavkar, Dr. Ashay Karpe, Dr. Vijay Sharanagat, Dr. Vijay Patil, and Dr. Anuya Badve, received warm welcomes with flower bouquets and fruit baskets. Vivek Mangavkar made a generous donation of ₹5 lakh to the Nana Palkar Smruti Samiti.
Patients who received treatment at the center were recognized as "Cancer Warriors." They shared their treatment experiences and commended the staff for their reassuring demeanor and the center's cleanliness. The touching program concluded with Pravin Parab expressing gratitude and providing an overview of Nana Palkar Smruti Samiti's future endeavors.
