CARE Hospitals launches "Tejaswini" initiative to educate girls in Hyderabad about feminine hygiene, menstruation, and cervical cancer.

CARE Hospitals, in association with Conexus and Jagathi Foundation, launched Tejaswini, a CSR initiative aimed at raising awareness about feminine hygiene, menstruation, and cervical cancer among girls aged nine and above in government schools across Hyderabad.

The initiative aligns with the Government’s focus on cervical cancer vaccination for girls aged nine to 14.

Tejaswini aims to impact over 2,000 girls across 12 government schools in Hyderabad. The initiative includes informative sessions, doctors’ interactions, Q&A sessions, and quizzes. Mothers are also actively involved in the sessions. Additionally, the team will distribute organic, eco-friendly cotton sanitary napkins to each girl during the awareness sessions.

Shalabh Dang, Chief Sales and Marketing Officer at CARE Hospitals Group, said: “CARE Hospitals is committed to empowering young girls with health knowledge. By supporting Conexus and Jagathi Foundation, we aim to impact girls’ lives in government schools, fostering awareness and promoting well-being.”
Manish Handa, Spokesperson for Conexus, and Durga Kalyani, Spokesperson for Jagathi Foundation, jointly said: “We’re excited to partner with CARE Hospitals on the Tejaswini initiative. By merging our community engagement expertise with CARE’s healthcare commitment, we believe we can significantly impact these young girls’ lives.”
