Cadila Pharmaceuticals has inaugurated a state-of-the-art Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (API) Plant in the Bharuch district, marking a significant step forward in the pharmaceutical landscape.

Constructed with a substantial investment of Rs 200 crore, the newly unveiled facility boasts advanced Distributed Control System (DCS) automation technology, emphasizing a commitment to innovation and quality in pharmaceutical manufacturing.

The inauguration ceremony witnessed the esteemed presence of Dr. H. G. Koshia, Food Drug Commissioner for Gujarat, and Dr. M. P. Nakarani, Assistant Commissioner of FDCA, Baruch Circle. Dr. Koshia expressed his admiration for the project, citing it as a fitting tribute to the legacy of the late Shri IM Modi Sir, a pivotal figure in the Gujarat Pharma industry.

He commended Cadila Pharmaceuticals (CPL) for their creation of a cutting-edge API plant, envisioning its enduring contribution to humanity through the production of high-quality APIs.

Biswajit Mitra, Chief Mentoring Officer at Cadila Pharmaceuticals and Convener of Pharma Panel, CII Gujarat State, underscored the facility's significance. He highlighted its role in delivering top-notch, cost-effective APIs globally while prioritizing environmental sustainability through the incorporation of DCS technology. Mitra emphasized the plant's efficiency in meeting escalating product demands and expressed confidence in its pivotal role in the company's future success.

Moreover, Mitra emphasized the broader impact of the plant, foreseeing its contribution to job creation by offering employment opportunities in permanent and contractual positions, aligning with the company's commitment to fostering positive social change.
