Cadila Pharmaceuticals collaborates with the Indian Red Cross to launch a life-saving First Aid and CPR training program for 50,000 students in Gujarat.

Cadila Pharmaceuticals, in collaboration with the Indian Red Cross Society, Gujarat State branch, has launched a comprehensive First Aid and CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) training program.

The initiative aims to provide life-saving skills to 50,000 students in Ahmedabad and Mehsana, responding to the rising incidents of heart attacks and cardiac arrests in the state.

The program's inaugural session took place at Adarsh Gyan Sagar School – Kadi on January 25th, with over 3000 students receiving training.

Dignitaries present included Vinodbhai Patel, Chairman of Mehsana District Cooperative Bank; Dharmesh Shah, Provost of Indrashil University; and Representatives Nareshbhai and Ms Manishaben Solanki from the Indian Red Cross Society, Gujarat State Branch. The initiative, scheduled until March 2024, emphasizes community well-being and addresses the critical need for immediate response in emergencies.

Dr. Bharat Champaneria, Trustee at Indrashil Kaka-Ba and Kala Budh Public Charitable Trust, the charitable arm of Cadila Pharmaceuticals, expressed concern about the increasing incidents of heart-related issues in the state. He stated, “If this initiative saves even one life, we’ll deem it successful. Besides life-saving skills, students will receive career guidance through Indrashil University.”
