C3 MedTech, a pioneer in ophthalmic screening technology, has raised Rs 2 crore in its first equity investment round, backed by Industrial Metal Powders. The funds will be used to introduce telemedicine and AI-enabled portable eye-screening devices, designed to streamline eye checkups and provide real-time detection of eye diseases. This cutting-edge technology aims to revolutionize the diagnosis of conditions like cataracts, glaucoma, and diabetic retinopathy, enabling timely interventions to prevent visual impairment and blindness.

C3 MedTech aims to combat avoidable blindness in India by offering affordable, portable, and easy-to-use ophthalmic screening tools. Unlike conventional eye check-up equipment, which is bulky and expensive, their devices are lightweight, battery-operated, and user-friendly, making them accessible even in remote areas.

The company's US FDA-approved products, including the C3 Vision Portable Slit Lamp, C3 Smartphone Fundus Camera, and C3 Slit Lamp Imaging System, have already made a significant impact in diagnosing eye diseases. Their upcoming product, a system for recording eye surgeries, adds to their growing portfolio of innovative solutions.

C3 MedTech, incubated at the prestigious Healthcare Technology Innovation Centre at IIT Madras, has received several grants from the Indian Government and IIT Madras Incubation Cell. INFSPL, a Pune-based investment advisory firm, was pivotal in securing this funding.
