BorderPlus acquires Onea Care to create structured migration pathways for Indian nurses in Germany, addressing the growing demand for healthcare workers.

BorderPlus has acquired Onea Care, a German healthcare recruitment firm, to establish structured migration pathways for Indian nurses seeking employment in Germany. This strategic move aligns with Germany’s goal of hiring 500,000 nurses by 2030 to address the country's healthcare workforce shortage.
With Germany projected to require an additional 150,000 nurses by 2025, transparent and ethical hiring solutions are essential. BorderPlus aims to provide fair and high-quality job opportunities for Indian healthcare professionals while preventing them from falling into illegal recruitment traps.
Ayush Mathur and Mayank Kumar, Co-Founders of BorderPlus, emphasized that this acquisition marks a crucial step in expanding their presence across key markets and supporting Indian healthcare talent in securing global career opportunities.
Founded by Leon Bauer, Onea Care collaborates with leading universities, hospitals, and healthcare institutions in Germany. As a member of Germany’s Fair Recruitment Board, Bauer has been instrumental in upholding ethical hiring standards. He highlighted that this partnership enhances Onea Care’s ability to scale ethical recruitment practices while meeting the increasing demand for nurses.
Additionally, BorderPlus has committed $10 million towards mergers and acquisitions to strengthen its presence in India, Germany, and other international markets. The company also plans to introduce digital-first hiring solutions, improve language training, and facilitate seamless integration for healthcare professionals.
