BetterSpace, a mental health-tech startup, has marked a significant milestone by raising Rs 4.5 million in its debut pre-seed funding round. The investment drive was spearheaded by PedalStart, a dynamic startup community-builder and accelerator. Prior to this, BetterSpace primarily relied on bootstrap funding.
The allocated capital will be channeled into various strategic areas aimed at fortifying the startup's offline and online services. BetterSpace plans to expand its offerings by developing an array of new products, including games and toolkits.
Additionally, the funding will be instrumental in augmenting marketing efforts, bolstering brand visibility, optimizing technology for enhanced accessibility across diverse devices, and attracting top talent.
Commenting on the successful fundraising, Shivli Shrivastava and Abhilash Shrivastava, Co-Founders & Directors of BetterSpace, expressed gratitude towards investors for their trust and support. They emphasized the importance of sustainable growth, aiming to facilitate improved mental wellness, emotional resilience, and happiness across communities while ensuring access to quality mental healthcare irrespective of background or location.
Manas Pal and Aditya Darolia, Co-founders of PedalStart, highlighted the significance of leveraging technology to address pressing mental health challenges in a country like India. They praised BetterSpace's innovative approach and commitment to providing accessible and affordable mental health services while fostering safe-inclusive spaces.
BetterSpace, previously part of PedalStart's 'Zero-to-One' cohort, aims to create a positive social impact by amalgamating online and offline initiatives focused on mental health, sexuality, and disability awareness. The infusion of funds signifies a step towards realizing their mission of catering to mental health needs effectively in society.
